Bangui Windmills
Along coastal roads on the way to Pagudpud, passersby will notice windmills to the left once they reach the municipality of Bangui. Here, there is an ideal lookout point where spectators can enjoy a high-rise view of the "Wind Farm" and Bangui.
Stepping out of the jeepney, we were greeted by a strong chilly breeze, reminiscent of Baguio. There was also a mix of light rain, which made the weather even colder. And sometimes we would even lose balance due to the powerful winds.
The Bangui Windmills were constructed to provide electricity for the rural countryside and at the same to reduce the emission of harmful greenhouse gases that cause global warming. The 15 turbines are arranged in a line that extend along the ocean shore. The turbines' hub height is (70 meters high) roughly equivalent to a 23-story building, and each blade is (41 meters long) just 9 meters shy of an Olympic size pool.
Teeth chattering, we did not spend too long a time at the lookout point. We boarded the jeepney once again and headed for Pagudpud, hoping that the gray skies would clear.

It's good to see windmills to create energy. All the nations should be doing more of that.
