Arrival



Yes, finally, I have arrived in the Philippines. It was a long trip--one that I didn't realize had long stop-overs, like an 8-hour wait in Taipei. The flight from Taipei to Manila also resulted in some delay as our pilot did his best to avoid numerous cumulonimbus clouds--high-rising, massive clouds that the plane that crashed off of Brazil's coast this year ran into.



I was able to take some aerial shots coming into the Philippines. You may notice the Bangui windmills and Taal volcano. In the process, I saw that despite the high recorded population density of the Philippines, much of the land is still unpopulated. It is the urban areas that have such a high concentration of people. If only the people had the courage to leave the cities, and only if they knew how to subsist off the land...
