Potipot Island, Zambales

No, I have not quite yet arrived in the Philippines for the December 2009 trip (on the way there). But, in the meantime, you may be interested in this post.

Potipot Island is located roughly 1 km from the mainland shore of Uacon, Candelaria, Zambales. If you are commuting, it can be reached from Olongapo by minibus/Victory Liner.

Potipot Island is not yet teeming with resorts, thought I think the owner is constructing some amenities in the middle of the island. It is a beautiful island with pristine white sand and surrounded by clear, blue-green waters. One can traverse its perimeter in just a few minutes. A couple of interesting natural sculptures exist, such as a fallen large, old tree, which makes for a nice obstacle to climb on.

I invite you to head on over and check out all the pictures:

I heard about Potipot island long ago, but never had the chance to visit it though. Nearest place to Potipot island I have been to is Capones. Better travel those nice beaches and islands you haven't been to once you're back!
