Coconuter Flower Shoppe and Gifts

coconuter flower shoppe giftsI am pleased to announce that Simon has opened a local flower shop in Solsona, Ilocos Norte. It is his first business, but he is hopeful that it will prove profitable. Simon has named his business after this blog's name, so I hope it will him bring good luck. Though you would think the opposite, as the Coconuter journey has been filled with so much misfortune, I like to think that Coconuter symbolizes more than that -- in the philosophy, experiences, memories, and friendship that have developed along the way.

Beyond the name, I think Simon's gutsy decision to form a small business may prove to have been a good move. I might say "small" from the American perspective, but really, for the rest of us this is already a major endeavor. If I was in Simon's position, I would probably have done the same. With no prospects for overseas work, what else was there for Simon to do? To toil away, working for meager wages until he is old and incapacitated would be a waste of a life. Indeed, I would have risked my savings as well for such a business, as he has done. Let's hope Simon's leap of faith pays off.

You can visit Simon's shop in Barangay Juan, Solsona, Ilocos Norte. For more information, you can visit their Facebook page.

Thank you for all your wishes, I am so grateful! Why I named my shop to COCONUTER because I believe in the vision of this blog. To enjoy life simple, having faith in GOD, loving the nature, and an advocate of peace. And of course, because of the friendship that we have, this is in commemoration of 6 years of thin and thick friendship. This is just a glimpse of our simple and original COCONUTER dreams. Hope you come and visit our shop soon. We will also selling some souvenir shirts of COCONUTER. Stay tuned!
