Abyss

I've been doing some long-distance biking again to nearby provinces (Rizal, Pampanga, Cavite).  I also climbed a mountain recently (Mt. Arayat), as I wanted to see if my body could still handle the physical exertion, since it's categorized as being a fairly difficult climb, particularly North Peak (the highest point of this dormant volcano).  To cut the story short, I expected to breeze through the climb.  Yet in reality, it was quite hard since I did not eat beforehand and didn't bring extra fluids, plus the terrain wasn't a rolling incline but a rocky ascent.  But, I did make it to the top.  It would have been more entertaining had I not embarked on this adventure alone, but I decided not to bring a friend, since it seems there's always money involved rather than just pure care.

I guess that's why I sometimes feel alone.  I think there's not many left in this day and age who are truly reliable.  Someone who will be there when you need them, unconditionally, for nothing in return.  And you never know if someone is one you can really trust, and if they are really on your side once they are talking to others and no longer facing you.

Don't always rely on open arms to embrace you or catch you when you fall, or someone who will be there when you are suffering.  Don't be surprised if you are abandoned when you are no longer needed.

Unless you want to get disappointed and hurt, you can't always rely and believe everything.  You never know if what is said is really meant, whether they are speeches saying they are your friend or brother/family, or if they are letters professing love or care.

I very recently turned another year older.  I don't ask for much -- only to be remembered, appreciated, and loved.  However, sometimes even such things are hard to come by.  The saying usually goes "Happy Birthday."  But never expect, because life can sometimes be very cruel and you never know how deep the abyss will go.

----------------------------

When I have problems and have no one to talk to, sometimes I walk/bike long distances.  Sometimes I write.  And sometimes, I like to just get lost listening to music and sing along.  I won't post the videos here this time, as there are a handful of them (you can check them out on Tiktok or IG).

The Bee Gees is one of my favorite musical groups.  There is a verse in their song "How Deep is Your Love" that goes:

"We're living in a world of fools,
breaking us down,
when they all should let us be.
We belong to you and me."

And this is very true.  If you let the fools surrounding you, so-called "friends" and other envious peers, get into your head, and influence or even dictate your actions, then they'll try to destroy anything good you may have.

And if love is one of those beautiful things you have, then they will do anything in their power to try and tear that apart.  True friends will respect and help bring your relationship with your loved one closer together, not try to defecate on it or rip it apart.

Nice pictures! I hope I could also bike my way to Arayat from Pasig City. One day :)

Please don't give up on people. People who are trustworthy and kind are still present. Simply put, you put your trust in the wrong people. Mingle with those who are open-minded, sociable, honest, and reliable, especially Christians, as I suggested in my previous comment in response to your previous post. The people you can rely on and contact in case you require support are those who fear God. Although I don't believe all Christians are perfect, I do believe that some of them are unreliable, and you all are aware of this. Before you put your trust in them, learn to weigh your options and be cautious.

Hi David, Sorry you feel that way. If you need someone to talk to, there will always be people who wants to listen without anything in return. Hope you're well.
